“Enrichment beyond the classroom”

Where Mind, Body & Spirit Grows!

Metella Road Out of School Hours Child Care Centre is located on the grounds of Metella Road Public School, Toongabbie. We provide quality care for before and after school, as well as vacation care. Our service is a community based, non-profit centre run by a voluntary management committee made up of the families who use our service.

At Metella Road Out Of School Hours Child Care Inc, we provide all children with the opportunity to engage in play with their peers by offering both programmed and free play experiences which are fun, meaningful and challenging.   Our Program is based on the ‘My Time Our Place’ National Quality Framework for school age care and aims to extend and enrich children’s well-being and development.

Our Organisation operates under License Approval from the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations. Service approval number: SE-00011843.

We are now on Xplor!  Simple, easy and efficient

Reconciliation Action Plan

A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal commitment to reconciliation. It documents how your school or early learning service will strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in the classroom, around the school/service and with the community. Schools and early learning services can develop a RAP using the Narragunnawali platform to register and extend on existing initiatives, or to begin their reconciliation journeys. See the film and resources below to learn more about developing a RAP.

Be You Service

Be You is the national mental health in education initiative delivered by Beyond Blue, in collaboration with Early Childhood Australia and headspace.
Be You supports educators from early learning services and schools to develop a positive, inclusive and resilient learning community where every child, young person, educator and family can achieve their best possible mental health.

Inclusion Support Program

The Inclusion Support Program (ISP) is a national program that is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills & Employment.

The program provides support for eligible early childhood education and care (ECEC) services to build their capacity and capability to include children with additional needs, alongside their typically developing peers, so all children have genuine opportunities to access, participate and achieve positive learning outcomes.

The program assists services to implement quality, inclusion and equitable practice under the National Quality Framework (NQF) and in accordance with the National Quality Standard (NQS) and Approved Learning Frameworks.
