How do I apply for CCS?
Are there additional costs for incursions, excursions of vacation care?
Our Service offers Vacation Care during each school holiday period, providing children with a fun, engaging and enriching program of activities. Developed towards the end of each school term, our program features a variety of experiences including excursions, incursions, themed days and special events designed to cater to a range of interests and age groups. Please note that Vacation Care fees may vary from day to day depending on the activities planned. This may include excursion and incursion costs, as well as items provided by the service such as meals, snacks or special resources required for the day’s program.
Is breakfast and afternoon tea provided?
Yes! We provide both breakfast and afternoon tea each day.
Breakfast is available each morning and includes a selection of breakfast cereals and toast.
Afternoon tea is provided daily and follows a rotating menu to ensure children are offered a wide variety of nutritious options. We regularly evaluate our menu based on children’s feedback and preferences, while also making seasonal changes. For example, during the cooler months we include more warm meals, while in warmer weather we offer lighter options.
How do I provide medication?
If your child requires medication while attending our service, please provide it directly to an educator upon arrival. Medication must be in its original packaging with the pharmacy label clearly displaying your child’s name, dosage and administration instructions. Parents/guardians are required to complete and sign a Medication Authorisation Form before any medication can be administered.
For children with ongoing medical conditions (such as asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes or epilepsy), families must also provide a current Action Plan completed by the child’s medical practitioner, along with any required medication before the child commences care.
All medication is stored securely in accordance with our Medication Administration Policy and is only administered by appropriately trained educators following our service policies and procedures. Medication must never be left in your child’s bag.
Do you work with schools and external professionals?
Yes. We value working collaboratively with schools and external professionals to support each child’s wellbeing, development and inclusion.
With parent/guardian consent, we can communicate and work alongside teachers, Learning Support Teams and allied health professionals such as Occupational Therapists (OTs), Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Behaviour Support Practitioners. We also welcome external professionals to visit the service where appropriate, enabling children to receive consistent support across all of their learning environments.
Our collaborative approach helps ensure strategies are shared, goals are aligned and children receive the best possible support while attending our service.
